ORP on the 25th is likely to be cancelled due to not enough people

Oh, if anyone is interested in participating in a track day and have never done one, ProFormance has a really good program. Look for the ProFormance days above that say "school" and those will be the days you'll want to sign up for

The 25th was cancelled, but the 24th was a lot of fun. Rained overnight but cleared up in the afternoon. Nice collection of cars. And a good day to get a photo since both three sixty and Juilene were shooting.

^ Nice photos, I really liked the picture of the 25 miata with the two caterhams chasing it.

The Ridge was a blast! It's going to take a while to get some of the braking zones down, like the braking zone to 6 and 13. I am still braking too early. And I'm having a hard time finding the courage to brake deeper

6 is better to go in slow and fast out....so driving really deep into there can get you nothing but out of shape and out on 7

13 is kinda like that too...it is a really slow corner...leading to another slow corner..so really a throwaway

I think 1 is the one that takes *****

How'd the rest of the day go? We took off when you were out getting gas; too hot and the light was getting really bad. How's the new suspension? Oh, and that trunk liner looked really useful, who makes that?

Standing at the top, lots of people were going into 13 too deep and it seemed to hurt their line through 15 and the straight. Leisurely driving the xA around it doesn't quite give you a good sense for the track... though 13 is damned fun in a car with that much body roll :D

13 at ORP was killing me. I just couldn't get my feet to listen to my brain.

Yeah 1 is something different. I think my top OBDII speed at apex was only 85 MPH. I still need to pick a good braking point and entry speed for that one too. I also think I am over slow for 2 and 15.

I'll post a video in the next few.

The rest of the day went well. I was able to get down to a mid 2:09. Still more work to do there. So far I like the suspension, but too early to tell. I will report back after PR on the 10th. I know that course so I will be able to see the differences there. My goal is a sub 1:45.

Mazda makes the liner and it has come in handy, especially with a leaky milk jug

I still haven't figured out a good approach to 13 at ORP.

^Thanks

That D2 was crazy fast! And that was an awesome spot.

Here's two laps at the ridge. Nothing exciting, but lap six on the last session was my fastest all day.

Went to the track today and had a blast. There weren't that many people at the track today, which meant extra track time. With 5 sessions, I racked up 245 miles (including getting gas.)

I LOVE!!! the new suspension. Now that I got to drive a track I am familiar with. The car handled great. The tires were awesome, and I was on full race brake pads, and they worked really well.

Before today my best lap time was a 1:45, well today I got a 1:43.410. I haven't had many 1:45s so, to have a few 1:43 laps was so cool!!!

I don't know what your schedule is, or how close you work or live to the track, but my schedule will be:

Drivers meeting at 12:00 and then I'll be on track from 12:30-1:30 and then 2:30-5:00 with a quick pit stop at 3:30. I normally hangout till 6:00 packing up and cooling off. If you want to stop by you are more than welcome.

Edit: The track day is a go and I will show up around 11:00 to get the car ready.
