Detroit and Mid-Ohio?

This forum seems pretty dead this year. Are we getting left out due to perceived lack of interest since there are no rotary-powered cars this year? I still plan to attend the Mid-Ohio race, and I'm thinking about going to Belle Isle this year. I'm not sure I"m interested in Mid-Ohio if there won't be a Mazda Owners Corral. Maybe I need to go check out miata.net?

Mid Ohio

I know you can buy Mazda corral tickets on the Mid Ohio site. Maybe Marlon will chime in here with details. I'll be there anyway.

Thanks. I realized that I could just go and buy the Mazda tickets after I posted, and did so. Looks like Chevy is again the main sponsor of the Detroit race, so I'm sure Mazda will get no love there again this year.

The Mazda corrals were "founded" on Mazdas247.com, more specifically a push by a regional group within that forum that started with Lime Rock, and has since been adopted elsewhere in the series.

Marlon and Lauri run the corral organization, and are stellar in their dedication and their efforts to make them happen. Mid Ohio is there "home" track though, so Mid Ohio is always sure to have one, as does Lime Rock, as that's the "home" track of NEMOC which started it. Huge success at both tracks. Mazda and Grand Am have supported the corrals at an increasing rate however, and I think there was a corral at every Grand Am race last year.

The best way to keep up with schedules and planned events is to either keep tabs on the NEMOC group on Mazdas247.com or join the Facebook group "Mazda Owners' Corral Operations" (https://www.facebook.com/groups/369315769832931/). They are very active during the racing season. Far too many Mazda forums to try to keep up with them all 100% of the time.

Excellent. Thank you! I've had an account on mazdas247.com since I bought my old 2005 Mazda3, but I haven't been on there in a long time. I'll check it out.

We are here, but as was stated earlier there's a lack of interest on the forum. We have a dedicated FACEBOOK PAGE, Mazda Owners' Corral Operations that has all of the information listed on it. Going forward we will post information on this site as well.

Mid- Ohio is going to be huge once again, along with 6 Hours of the Glen and Road America. We will post up ybe information on all of our upcoming events later today.

Thanks, Marlon. I did join up on the Facebook page, too. I've got my hotel and Mid-Ohio tickets.
