Hello i am looking for someone or someone who knows where i can get my steering rack for my 2004 rx-8 replaced. I am new to the san antonio area and really dont know where to look. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Awesome... Well it all started when i stopped using the car... It was left standing and only turned on maybe 3 times a month..... Now when i turn it on from a cold card and move the steering wheel, the steering wheel will start hopping by itself and turn all the way and will keep shaking. Once the car is hott it stops doing that but i can feel that the wheel gets hard when turning and will sometimes shake a little bit. The other day i turned on thecar and the whole power steering was out. Then the next day it was back to normal but still shakes like crazy from a cold start.... I've replaced the power steering harness with a new one and still no change. I checked wires and done everything i could think of and still have the same issue. How much would the labor cost to have it replaced? Thank you!!

Hmm, I would wanna check it out before jumping to replacement. Usually a good cleaning (file, wire brush, etc) and some dielectric grease will fix it. Another common problems is the power steering noise filter and that too is fairly cheap to replace. What part of town do you live on?
