ECU Replacement

Could anyone please explain how an aftermarket ECU for the RX8 actually improves BHP? Do these chips do anymore than just advance ignition? And how do I get hold of, and get a chip fitted?

Go to the Canzoomer's Place section in the vendors section of this forum. There is PLENTY of info regarding ECU upgrades there.
