define reputable

I think we would be interested but need to know a little bit about what you want to do.

are you looking for a basic rebuild (just seals and gaskets)? are you prepared for purchasing new housings (if they are bad)?.....oil meeting.....injectors cleaned....porting

From what I've seen of the SARX crew on this forum, they could do it for you in a weekend in someones garage

Yeah, you guys have a good spirit of cooperation. I've seen some strange car guys that are a little too serious.

Thanks for the response.

Perhaps I should have put some aditional info. so here we go.

At this point the engine is locked up.

It wont turn at all I tried even a cheater pipe...

I started to dissasemble to pull it out in my garage a few hours a day.

( Houston Rx8er ) I could go both ways but was considering an engine swap.
My plan is to have this a my second daily driver so not looking to go all wild with turbos and tuniing ecu if you know what I mean.

I seen some rebuilds go for about 2800 to 3000 g plus cores. I want alittle better than stock

By reputable I meant no disrespect to the RX community or vendors just looking for best bang for the buck and durability. I know Quality comes at a price...

I also need to pour some $$$ on my 85 GSLSE so dont want to put all eggs in one basket.
I figure and engine out and another on in will be my best choice. and work on a complete rebuild at a later time with another engine. Perhaps my 85 or on this core that I will pull out..

Its impossible to know what I will need since the motor is siezed... or core value. but it will be an excelent training tool

well depending how bad the damage is you could see upwards of 5k, without labor.....thats kid of worst case scenerio though (irons, housing, rebuild kit).

I am game for sure and will give you a shout this weekend to see what we can come up with. if you like I iwll put together some detailed "options" (or packages so to speak) and go from there. I also have some used parts I am willing to sell you may get lucky if you need something.
