Please use the Search feature. There are several threads started on this and a vendor that sells this. Unless you enjoy being told off by other members on the forum.

Im in Washington, so a little tough to make a recommendation in your neck of the woods. But having said that I do recommend the 3M Stonegard. I had it professionally installed for about $625 and it was well worth it. The installer put on about 15 different pieces and I have no doubt I would have screwed it up had I done it myself.

The result on my Sunlight Silver car is barely noticable, but definitely does the job.

looking around the web some more i found a product that has good ratings from x-pel . they even list approved installers but the closest is about 2 hours away. i guess i will just have to take a day off to get it done. you like the way yours looks? my car is sunlight silver also.

I install clear bras here in Ohio, and I will say that Venture Shield is "hands down" the best clear film available. I have experience installing Llumar and 3M as well and neither of them compare over all to the Venture Shield film. The 3M is too thin and suck to work with. The 3M is too thick and the edge lines are too visible.

If you need more info on it, feel free to PM me with any questions.

have a friend here in FL that does the 3M...hell do the 8 for around $500....and the guy who tinted my car uses a different product and said it would probably be around $450 due to so many pieces.

expensive, but probably worth it considering how low the 8 rides to the ground. rock chips are just waiting to happen.

BTW....ive seen the work he does on other cars, and i really dont think the 3M is too thick....you can BARELY see it and not from more than 5 feet away.....worth it.

my friends car had a big rock hit it and it dug into the film, but the car is fine....not like you want a piece of paper on there, we are talking about rocks hitting your $30,000 car at 60 or 80 mph.....

The reason you think the 3M is "barely" visible is because you haven't compared it to the Venture Shield, I have. And "thick" doesn't automatically mean that it's more effective. From an installers standpoint, and a cosmetic standpoint, the Venture Shield is a superior product.
