Vash wants to go FI...but...

Okay okay, no worries ive DONE the hella lot of research....but I do need some help. I was going to go pettit kit...but its discontinued and hymee is just to damn expensive...So here is what I want:

280-320whp
A FLAT torque curve220-250

IF I DO GO TURBO.....

What size and trim/ar/ would yall recommend to achieve boost by 3k to 9k redline? Something smooth, not going for MOST whp thats why I listed a minimium of 280 and no more than 320. This is a DD/weekend warrior SCCA, should I go greddy kit and just add my own turbo? Or go PTP or SRF and do the same? I would need a twin scroll turbo right? Like a evo 9 turbo? THat seems to build boost fast....All other upgrade for turbo (oil pan, fuelpump cobb no cat, etc) are done. So Im working with a free flow exhaust...I just wanted a smooth powerband Could i under power a turbo? Or go with a turbine upgrade in the greddy? I looke at dynos of all the stock kits and wasnt happy with power band....I dont want a rx7 fd, got one, I want something punchy.

by go greddy and just add your own turbo you're basically throwing away everything but a couple pipes and what will be a hacked up exhaust manifold.

you will not get that kinda HP out of the stock GReddy. Maybe 280 with a BNR rebuild and a ton of boost.

Also not sure where you'd put a twin setup. I heard of someone doing one but have never actually seen one.

Huh? Not looking to do twin turbos, I was saying a Twin scroll turbo, single. Sorry if there was any confusion.

I think posting this question will get the most eyes on the tech and performance major hp section. Dondo's only got 270 (might not have been tuned all the way.) Good luck man, that's exciting

I know, I just now read about it in other post...

So here is my current plan. I willl do like you guys say and track down a Turbo knowledge database guy.... Which I think I got threw my Saab Tuner, Vermont Tuning. With some cliping of the turbine and modifiing the housing on the Saab 9-3 aero to a 19t compressor they were able to make these power increases:

(stage 0 tune is stock turbo reflashed)

(stage 1 tune, k&n filter with 19t compression mod)

Now yes this is a v6 turbo saab and etc. But The powerband was made much better by this simple mod...maybe I can see about them doing something similar with another turbo.... Or what they would recommend... I might even just look at doing a whipple supercharger from the BLITZ/RE kits because I will be rebuilding my motor FIRST threw Pettit with a street port so I can expect a little more power than most at first, and with no cat maybe I could acehivle somewhere near my goal of 220-250 torque and no more than 310whp.

Did you look at the RX8performance unit? I think that is right where the kit was designed to perform......

I did, can't find a dyno sheet for it though...tuned.... looks like a good thrown together kit, I am probably going to use its manifold and stuff even if I decide to go with a different turbo.
