R3 spacer and widen wheel question
R3 spacer and widen wheel question
ok got a 2010 r3 with all stock suspension atm.
i have 255/35/19 potenza re-11's all around and love them,
i want to run 275 rears and 245/255 fronts, i found a place that can widen the 19" bbs's from 19x8 to 19x10 or 9.5 whatever i want.
question is will 275's fit with the stock 19's in 19x10 ,
also can i add a 10-15mm spacer all around with out rubbing, i currently have no rubbing issues at all.
thanks
ps i dont wanna hear it stupid youll ruin the rims, staggered is gay etc,

You can't widen a forged wheel. At least not safely anyway. And yes a 275 will fit on a 10" rim. Oh, and there is a "will it fit" thread already so next time post your tire fitment questions there.
Wheel fitment all depends on the offset of the rims.....and the spacers just modify the offset..so the best answer you will get is " it depends"
I know 18X10.5 +43 offset will fit with 275 tires without any fender mods...so with a roll you could likely go to about a +32-35 with normal amounts of camber
Spacers will allow a higher offset wheel to sit out farther.....so a 25mm spacer on our stock wheels with a +50 offset will in effect look like a +25 offset wheel...widths being the same
The only safe way to modify a wheel is if it is a 3pc..then you can add different width rings to change the wheel profile.
The cut and weld type modifications are not recommended

thanks i have not heard of people really widening rims so thats why i asked
(and if you can find the answers to my questions by searching you are better than i am)
and they will def be tracked so im going to avoid widening and just maybe get new rims =(
but thanks for opinions
