Help engine competition
Hello. I have read many post by the club, but by time and ignorance of many things, I have found no definitive post about how to make a 20b. The issue is that in the end we're going to shoot pool and we will transform the street 8 100% in circuit. So I got another engine to rebuild with low compression, and mount a motor 20b. I know there are websites that sell parts, etc.. but wanted to know if you can make a crankshaft for 3 rotors, or have to buy fact, if someone has done it already, and so on. Also if you can make an admission by ITB's, or rather an admission to a regular filter and electronica, etc. Thanks and regards.
pm bse50 on the forum here. I'm guessing that you're in europe, so he'd be a good connection for you to have. He makes this stuff on the side in his garage. Hopefully he can help you out.
I know of 3 Renesis 3 rotor engines. 2 of them were built by Pineapple Racing. Not much detail on any of the builds so there would be a lot of trial and error to get it to work.
Your best best is to buy a 20b. The $20k 9k mentioned assumes you have the ability to do the majority of the work. If you do not then expect to double the cost.

As a sidenote, I was talking with Tito in San Antonio about his rx8. His custom manifolds/piping were the most expensive. Completely custom work with no shortcuts. If you were passive and were not concerned with making BIG power, your manifold design & spacing for design would be different than his.

I would never assume anyone investing this much in a build is going to leave anything stock. Everything is relative to each individuals skills, wallet and goals. Who knows how much it will cost. 99% of the people who talk about this never do it.
yeah you're right about that. If I were to do it I would leave most of the engine stock. Just rebuilt turbo's and taller apex seals, I wouldnt even do a street port.
