Works fine just using a browser like Safari or Chrome on a 4S.

The Android app would be ok if it had a way to just look for all new posts. Since it doesn't, the browser is still better, IMO.

silly android users shouldn't let an inanimate object get them all riled up unless they understand deep down where they can only hide their shame from everyone but themselves that they did in fact choose poorly when selecting a phone.

kinda like buying an RX8 with an automatic... "But it's got paddle shifters!!! /sigh... damn... i suck..."

I went with the iPhone due to the fact there were no other smart phones at the time, this is back when the 3g first came out and just stuck with it. Once you jailbreak it's even better. And honestly with all the complaining my friends do about battery life and freezing on the andriod phones (EVO4, Epic) I'm happy with my choice. Now apple needs to get off their *** and make the 5 cause I'm bored with the 4 and ready for an upgrade.

But I'm still wondering why the op feels we need an app for this, I mean I'm on here on my phone all day with no issue, I don't see how an app would make it any better..

Yeah, Android has a bit more power, flexibility, and is a little more complicated than the iPhone. Your comparison to RX-8s and automatics is spot-on, unfortunately it seems that you have reversed it.

It's funny because all I hear from the iphone users I know of is that it is slow, locks up, and the battery life sucks. I do hear that from Android users but those users are generally running lower end phones running older versions of Android.

My last phone was an HTC HD2 that was rooted to run Android and that is what turned me on to the capabilities and reliability of Android.

Never had a droid so I can't really say I know how long the battery last, just my friends complaining about wanting bigger batteries. And it really depends on how you use the phone as far as battery life goes. I mostly surf the web and do e-mails with my phone, battery will last about 2 days with out a charge. As far as locking up goes, it could be the app they are running, some apps are just garbage (read:facebook) and slow the phone down a lot. I have experienced some freezing before while running crappy jailbroke apps, but nothing to really complain about.

Yeah it seems the more apps you get on an iphone the slower it gets. I can understand sticking with a platform and if you are a Mac user then having an iphone makes sense from a sync and integration standpoint. And yeah how you use the phone definitely affects battery life. My phone has a great battery life but when I use it for my radar detector (Cobra iradar) it dies in a few hours if I don't plug it in.

i never have slowness issues or lock ups or battery life issues. Hell i'm even asking for it by running the beta ios. I have about 6gb's of apps on my phone as well and it's an iphone 4 and not even a 4s

I can see where 3GS users would have slowness issues, because it's a 3 year old platform, but anyone else is doing something wrong.

But you are a IT genius, so you are probably running some custom app that you control with your guitar that makes your phone run smooth as silk.

oh and tapatalk has been shot down multiple times for our board by IB, even though it's free to implement, allows advertising and is in use by other IB forums.

It's a way better mobile experience and the app is available for almost all mobile platforms.

I don't even jailbreak my phone. I've never really found a need to. I just make sure to delete **** that i don't need and close apps that i don't need open. Any OS needs free space. Most people fill their phones up with useless free apps, music, pictures, and everything under the sun. Then they leave everything open so it's constantly looking for an internet connection, gps signal, or whatever. All this does is use up all available RAM and scratch disk space. I'd imagine it's not just an Apple user issue, but the same for any mobile OS that allows background apps. Users are too dumb to close **** down, then complain that their battery doesn't last for ****, their phone is slow, and their data usage is ridiculously high. Stupid users are what give any mobile OS a bad name.
