2004 rx8 rpm problem

When i'm accelerating the rpm needle will go up rapidly then go down a bit and sometimes it gets pretty bad.. this has only occured recently and I have no idea what the problem is.. anyone know? some ppl said it may be the oxygen pump or something?

Sounds like clutch slippage to me
