Anyone know a trustworthy shop?

Posted this on the tech forums and got zero replies so trying here. I have an '04 with nearly 90k miles and going up quick so trying to do the research for an engine rebuild/swap sooner than later.

The dealership said they don't do rebuilds at all and it'd be 7 grand to a swap.

I live in central washington and don't mind a drive if someone knows a shop that can be trusted with rotaries.

I do not know of many shops that will rebuild and swap. You could look for a low millage motor from a junk yard and swap it yourself.

- Pineapple Racing will build or rebuild the motor but you will need to do the swap or find a someone to do it.
- BHR will build you a motor and swap it. They are in AZ so your options are to go there or fly them to you.
- FD3S Engineering could do the swap. Not sure they would be interested in the rebuild.

Might want to check out Atkins Rotary. They're in Eatonville (West-Central WA). I don't know anything about them personally, but it might be worth a call.

Not sure I'd trust Atkins based on a few things I have heard.

pineapple racing is in portland but i dont think they do swaps they will rebuild it for u though. otherwise i would sugest mazdatrix in longbeach ca it a little fare but they do amazing work havent herd one bad thing about them. otherwise i would suggest zn performance in columbus oh there really fare away but do great work and are way cheaper than mazdatrix.

Found them by searching online. Never dealt with them. There's a tuner shop at the Washington/Canadian border. A little East of Vancouver. I forgot their name, but they're a tuner shop and they have worked on rotaries.
