Ok, so I just got my car back, its been gone for a little over a year. When I got it back it only had one key and fob and the valet key. Someone had lost the other set. Even more alarming is the fact that the key fob no longer works. I have tried replacing the battery in the fob as well as reprogramming it. I've had no such luck.

There is no warning light on the dash telling me the receiver is malfunctioning and I have checked all the fuses as well. The car was also reacting to the reprogramming sequence i.e. it was locking and unlocking when I went through the process.

I know it could be the fob itself is broken, but before I purchase another I would like to check the receiver and make sure its all good.

Can anybody tell me how I would go about doing this? I understand that there is one behind the glove box. How would I get to it and what does it look like?

I also read on here that there is another behind the rear bumper? Where behind the bumper is that one and what should I look for when troubleshooting these receivers?
