looking to join the RX8Club!


read the tons of pretty much required reading material before buying.


decided i want a 06 or above, with leather seats at the minimum, preferably a GT to get keyless ignition


so thers only one near where i live that fits the bill:

story for it:

called them, said the pictures are not up as it was actually a florida car(carfax confirms) and was damaged while being shipped, and so they are putting on new bumper(s?). also had him check ignition, and says it needs the key to be inserted so not keyless ignition.


so from the description i know it has leather seats and moonroof.


so any ideas on which package this?


also what do you guys think is a good price? i was going to ask for 11.5 out the door? is that reasonable?(considering i know they are doing work on it now as it was damaged!)

and ofcourse, i would first get a compression test done! as well as test drive, still have to test drive to see how smooth a rotary is, never driven one before

Based on their description, I'd say it's a GT.

 

I think its a GT too. Anyway, if you have access to the VIN number, then that is how you really going to know exactly what it is.

 

It's an auto If it has a moon roof it is a Touring or Grand Touring but it sounds like a Grand Touring because of the "leather trimmed seats"

but the delarship was lying!

i stopped by and today and asked to look at it and they were like blah blah, its not ready n not really telling me what was wrong with it.

i told them i will walk away if i dont see it today, and wont be coming back. if am going to buy the car i want to see how it is now.


WELL


so finally they let me.


guess what?


the freaking car has both bumps off and were being painted, tailligts off, atleast one headlight housing was busted, both fenders were on but one of them has body work done and just seemed to be getting prepped for paint.

and worse!....its a freaking base model, no leather seats, no nothing!



so...needless to say, i walked! now the hunt for my rx8 continues....

they are so hard to find near me at a delar so i can trade in my 06 sonata (theres a reason why i wanna trade, it started making weird noises on sunday, and it seems to be either a flywheel or the torque converter....either way im not gonna keep it and it will cost $$$-$$$$...so i need a car asap!)


anyone know how i can cash out on my sonata really quick, so i can just take the cash and find a rx8 anywhere..anywhere even 500 miles away and buy it?

i would really appericiate it, i want a RX8 SOOO bad and dont want to have to trade it for another car as i could not find one locally.

btw a dealership offered me 6.5k as trade in while i was looking at an 04, but i really want to only get an 06 or above.
