Question Low Speed Steering Problems

As far as I know, when you drive at low speeds, the power assist comes on, right? I've been experiencing that sometimes when I pull up to a stop light, my steering wheel tends to want to turn either to the left or to the right...this only happens when I'm stopping. Is this normal, has anyone had this problem, and should I go get it checked out? Thanks.

Do you experience that on level and un-bumpy ground?

It is the wide tires and the road. Near stop lights when a big truck stops and it has to wait, the weight of the truck makes it sink ever so slightly, over time it wears grooves into the road, when our wide tires hit these it pulls to one side. My friend's M Roadster does the same. His tires are wider than the 8's.

Performance tires and a light car combined with excellent brakes magify the road feel so it's normal. People not used to driving a sports cars seem to notice this more but after a while you'll get used to it. In fact, I don't notice pulling at all anymore.

Hmm...I could've sworn that the road was in pretty good condition, but I guess it's possible. What I thought originally was that my front wheels were very slightly turned, and since I was still inching forward, a combination between the forward movement and power steering caused it.

The first time I put on wide performance tires on my Teg, it scared the hell out of me since it was only semi-power assist. But when I got the 8, I was expecting it. Your arms will get all the excercise they need after some extensive driving on the road

I may br way off but Mystryl you said it happened when you where comming to a stop, so it probably has to do with the brakes pulling not the uneveness of the road. My car does the same thing and I have assumed that its just the large rotors and calipers.

If it's uneven breaking from break, car will also pull at any speed; if that is the case, it's not safe to drive and bring it to the dealer. Have a friend of mine feel his car was driving a bit funny and bring it to the dealer and find out his brake pads had worned out.
