Tempting!!! Its either these or some Enkei RPF1's...

What seems to be the spring rate everyone runs for F&R? Just 9K front, 6K rear or has anyone done anything more aggressive?

Most go with 9K/6K though we are bringing over a number of 10K/7K as well, as a fair number do request these rates.

General rule of thumb is drop first, then wheels, or do both at the same time ;P

I've run 10k/7k before and I'm running 11k/8k right now. Just depends on what you want to do with the car. What are your goals?

Well I thought my Koni yellows were blown so i was going to get them revalved to fit some custom spring rate springs from Hypercoil... but now that I know my Koni Yellow's arent blown I was looking into a decently good coilover.

Goals: AutoX with some Track use.

Ive always felt the Tein S. Tech springs were way too soft. Was gonna have Hypercoil make me a 400ftlb front spring and 250-275 rear spring, which is why I was thinking more of the 10K/7K setup

Well lets start by sorting out your units of measurement lol. I think you mean 400lb/in not 400lb/ft.

That setup from Hypercoil you wanted would be approximately 7k/4.5k.
10k/7k is almost 150% the stiffness the Hypercoils would have been to put that into perspective.

If the car is a daily driver, it depends on how bad the roads are where you live. All the roads in Arizona are pretty much as smooth as glass which is why I don't care about running a really high spring rate. 9k/6k with some big sway bars like Progress Techs is going to be more than enough for AutoX with the occasional track day mixed in. 10k/7k is just a bit stiffer and you'll get a little bit less body roll but unless you're on the track a lot going through bigger high G corners or really big braking zones you won't feel too much of a difference IMO.

I'm getting ready to put my deposit down soon... how long do these GBs usually take?

also I am getting ready to visit the shop to get my fenders rolled... any advise on that other than cutting fender tabs?

edit I will be running 18x9.5 +20 with 245/40's but I will run spacers if I have room

PM's all replied!

Personally, I would recommend waiting until you have your wheels on before doing any fender work. Nothing worse than doing too much fender work and having more sunk wheels or not doing quite enough and still have rubbing, even after paying.

dont know if this is the place to ask this, but how do these coils ride? Im interested in this group buy and wanted to know if they were comfortable for daily driving? Of course they will see track as well so im not expecting rolls royce comfort :P

They're VERY streetable.

To be honest I love these things on the street. I actually prefer these over stock for daily driving, just makes the car feel much sportier. Also a couple posts up I talked about streetability vs. track needs, maybe that will help you decide as well.

Got a good questions via PM so I decided to post here as well:

hey I was reading over the GB parameters a few times and I had a question.
do the coils still ship to a customer that paid in full if you don't have all 15 slots filled up?
Yes they do!

Main key to the Powertrix GB would be the pricing. The coilovers will be coming over regardless but once they arrive, pricing goes up a bit to standard retail.
