Hey all please help heated seat problems

Hey everyone my name is joe. Im new to rx8 club. I picked up a new 2010 rx8 grand touring 6spd in sparkling black mica. It was a leftover but new. I have used the search function and no results i also spent lots of time google searching the topic. My car has been at the dealer for over a month now because the heated seats dont even get warm. They had a mazda regional specialist look at my car after replacing the grids and relays and switches still not getting warm.. Now they said they are seat warmers and will only warm up when very cold and only to 90 degrees. Does anyone have a 2010 rx8 that the seats get hot whenever they turn them on like a normal heated seat? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all very much.

Your search methods are flawed. I found this in 30 seconds. Regardless here are all your answers. https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-interior-audio-electronics-24/heated-seats-lack-there-14828/

That link is from a series 1 topic. However it sounds just like the issue you are having. I personally dont know about seat changes from series 1 to series 2 because I have the recaro r3 seats and never bothered to look at thr regular seats. That being said, in this thread ASH8 offers to cross referance part numbers from series 1 and series 2. https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=14828

Perhaps he can cross the seat heaters for you to see if they match. If they do refer back to the first link I gave you.

Good luck and welcome to the forum

OK,
Series 2 Seat Warmer Switches are the same as Series 1.

The actual Seat Warmers are S2 specific not exact same parts as S1 Seat.
One in each cushion and one in each seat back.

Sorry I know of no issues or TSB's with S2 seat warmers.
If the dealer has renewed warmers and they are the same then I suggest they are not meant to get REALLY hot, I think you will find other Mazda's are the same.

Just imagine IF they were too hot, seat would deteriorate and then all the owner claims for bum burns?

Sorry, I have never had them nor find the need where I live to have a car with them, more crap.
