My 2004 RX8 has hit 67K miles and I have been limping the clutch for about 6 months with it slipping and now smelling. The clutch pedal works great and shifting gears is fine. Its when the car is in a gear and you decelerate then accelerate - it slips and doesn't put the power to the wheels. I just assumed this has to be the clutch and I should probably get it replaced ASAP. I'm in Chandler, AZ and I do not have any idea of a good place to take it so looking for suggestions. I feel that I should buy the clutch kit online and then take it somewhere to have it done but again looking for your guys help and suggestions. This is my baby - love my RX8 and will keep it forever so I want a good place that will do it right. Also suggestions on what Clutch to buy - I was leaning toward a Stage 1 level clutch - better than stock but I'm not adding Turbo's or any major mods to the car. Let me hear from you guys! Oh and I'd recommend an Exedy Stage 1 with BHR's lightweight flywheel with a counterweight. That's what I'm planning on doing when my clutch gives up.

I just got the car back this afternoon and it is awesome - love it and love the service they provided. I now have a great local shop that I will have them do all my work (that I can't do) in the future!
