Thinking of installing a zex wet kit

I have an 04 rx8 with an automatic trans *couldnt find a 6speed at the time*. Im thinking of installing a zex wet kit. Im new to nitrous but I have done some reading. Does anyone have any suggestions on installing this? Is it recomended with a automatictransmission? I havnt done any engine mods. I have installed a revi intake system and replaced the stock muffler with two Sound Flow mufflers. Should I change anything else before doin this? Sorry if this is a repeat trend but I couldnt find any that covers an automatic transmission

It is very doable with the 4 port AT Rx8. I wouldn't go any higher than a 55 shot unless you want to spend some money on an engine management system such as the AccessPort.
I had a 4spd AT with a 75 shot of nitrous. It worked but only after extensive tuning.
I would make sure your coils and plugs were in good shape and don't use it under 4500 rpm. Don't use it from a dead stop or under low manifold vacuum and high engine load conditions.
<--- See where it says "3 Manifolds" under my user name. Yeah. Nitrous backfire.

yea Im worried about blowing my motor. What would be the safest shot to run? Ive gotten recomendations to stay around a 25-30 shot since im mostly stock and running an automatic. I dont plan on doing much more to this car performance wise after this I just wanted to give it a little extra kick. Should I upgrade my fuel pump?

It's not an auto, but there won't be much difference.

ok I got 1 more question. This kit uses a full throtle trigger to start the nitrous when armed. When I take off from a start Im normaly all the way to the floor. So I would be starting off below 4500-5000 rpm for a brief period of time plus it would be starting from a dead stop. As stated by Easy E1 thats not a good time to use nitrous. What would be a good way to keep that from happening? Or should I just anwser my own question and back off the trottle a bit on take off ? Sorry for being a newbee. I just havent messed with this before.

It's tricky in first gear as everything goes by so fast.

The Zex kit comes with an arming switch. The arming switch if turned off will not spray even under WOT. The system must be armed.

What you can do is activate the arming switch after shifting to 2nd gear.
Try just doing a few WOT runs with the system armed in 2nd and 3rd.
I would recommend you get used to using the nitrous this way first.

Then try arming the zex system in first gear once you get past 4500 rpm in first gear.
But be ready ... the redline will come really fast.

Or if you are brave ... a 4k rpm clutch engagement in first gear and don't let the rpm's fall.
This requires some clutch feathering.

lol no prob thankyou for the info though Im looking to get a manual in the future that I plan to make this mod to as well. Im wondering if there is a way to put a button between the arming switch and the brain box. since it is electronicaly baised I dont know if the box has a boot up time or not like the ecu has for a system check when starting car.

Use a button style switch for arming ... place it on the steering wheel.

There is no boot up time for the Zex module, at least if there is it's so short it's not noticeable.

speaking of nitrous and since we are on the subject I was wondering how harmful nitrous is to the renesis engine and if I should tamper with it or not I have 05 gt 6spd 82k miles and just curious about nitrous planning on staying N/A until I build another engine for turbo, It's also my DD not planning on racing it or anything just using it for a quick thrill from time to time any advice, I also plan on getting a cobb AP as well rather using nitrous or not.
