got in contact with this guy through another forum member...he had some parts (greddy w/BNR) sent me a picture told me he would ship when payment received. Sent a PayPal last Friday he didn’t follow through...Monday was a holiday...etc..etc...excuse after excuse so I called him out now he "disappeared".

Hopefully I won’t be completely screwed and PayPal will cover me. …either way lesson learned (possibly an expensive one)...if it aint eBay or a local member....isnt worth the trouble

It was a deal that was too good to be true... which also means a lot less to loose on the table lol. Unfortunately, you face this risk with even the most realistic looking deals if it's between 2 people online.

Best of luck getting everything sorted out!

(side note... might want to edit your first post. The email address got attached to "...total")

Sheeeet if I lost my $1700 on my greddy kit I would have tracked the dude down and asked him nicely where my items were.

Not to minimize the value of your concerns, but it is only Wednesday.
You placed the order on a holiday weekend Friday.
Two days (Tuesday and today) is not "disappeared". Quite a few people are still on vacation.

^He does have a bit of a point... I probably would have given it a little more time unless something specifically raised a red flag. Shipping couldn't have taken place on Monday since it was a holiday and none of the shipping services were running. That means that there was a lack of communication for only 1-2 days that he could have possibly worked on getting it shipped. I know of a few reliable companies that have slower communication and shipping abilities and they make a living off it.

At this point, you kind of have to hope it was a scam because it could be more problematic if he was legitimate.

Yeah, he gave me this email address: mazdaspeed057@gmail.com

I can also provide the phone # he gave me in a pm if anyone wants it but I will not post it on the thread. Good luck guys and let me know how things turned out. In the end I did not end up buying from him as someone else I trusted alot more had the parts I wanted.

i sent a few emails back and forth with this mazdaspeed057 guy, he said he had a greddy turbo (just the turbo is what i needed) for sale.

asked for pics and he sent me pics of what appeared to be a knockoff greddy turbo even after saying that it was in fact the real greddy that came with the kit. it looked nothing like it. what a dumbass!

luckily i didnt exchange any money with this guy, sorry to hear your loss! dont trust that guy!
