Here's the story. The RX8 I have now has been wrecked pretty badly from the back (back bumper demolished, back glass shattered...etc). However, there wasn't any airbag that was deployed, but the airbag light was on. I fixed the car up to driving condition a few months back, but just now am I getting to fixing the airbag light on issue, its driving me crazy every time I turn the car on now. It blinks twice, pauses for a second or two, then blinks three times. It does the same process over and over a couple of times, until finally going solid. Any help?

 

I had that issue and it was a loose connector under the front seat.

 

which one? I've checked and double checked the passenger connector and its tight and secure. :/

 

It was drivers side Yellow connector. It was long ago and I don't remember the exact flash codes. You might also try the connector behind the glove box. if you search I am sure someone has posted the flash code before.

 

hmmm, okay. i've heard of something to do with dlc-2 and scanning codes. what does that exactly mean?
