I had an 04 rx8 and I traded it in for an 09 rx8 r3 package. I was under the impression that they both have the same Bose system. I liked the one out of the 04 it was stock. If you had it on 20 it was very loud. On the 09 I have to turn it up to 36 for the base to sound close to that. I am not sure if they changed the system or what. It says that they are both 300watt Bose systems, but they 04 sounded better. Any suggestions?

 

turn it down and listen to the growl of the R3, much better than your 04, j/k

personally I had an 04 as well and I find it sounds better now, dont know about as loud but seems clearer, try ajusting your bass, trebble and centerpoint, to the kind of music your are listening, I know I got the bass all the way up ans trebble at about 3-4. and it sounds great

 

Ya I love the way the r-3 sounds compared to the 04 in that aspect it they did good there
