330 supercharged HP. If they price this right, it could shake things up.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the crossfire, but even setup as it is now it's posted some very good driving numbers. With some extra muscle it should be pretty impressive.
Still hate the *** on it though :D

I participated in a marketing research survey with Infiniti cars. I test drove a Crossfire for 2 days in the survey.
Car is okay. Interior looks very weak and the visibility is HORRIBLE out the rear.
Decent power already so the added HP will be good but the rear end of the car still looks terrible.

My friend just bought a crossfire. Before he got his I wasn't too impressed with them. However, now that I have been close to it and have rode in one I am alot more impresed. The blind spots are rediculously large though and in my opinion, the center console is too techish. I saw one of those SRT-6's yesterday. I guess they are only testing them in germany and in michigan right now. So it was pretty cool that I saw it.

I can't believe how much money Chrysler charges for the Crossfire.. And I really wish manufacturers would get away from the TT-esque styling (Nissan, Chrysler, Lexus.. I'm lookin' at you!), as ALL of the cars based on this shape have horrible visibility issues.
Did chrysler cheap out and remove the lysholm supercharger for a roots supercharger? It says helical, but you could call a roots that.
The car is overpriced. The old SLK is more than paid for.
Yuck, worm and sector steering.

Here's a review of the SRT-6 from Car & Driver.

From the looks of it, this car is pretty nuts. I thought the SRT-4 had me beat
. With 330 hp, this car pretty much beats its Japanese, and even some European competitors. I believe Chrysler struck it rich when they teamed up with Daimler-Benz.
Unfortunately, the SRT-6 comes with a 5-speed slushbox...that's it. What, no manual gearbox?! I believe the fact this car comes with an automatic only kills off all other performance features. It's just not a sports car. Plus, I think Chrysler should've whined more to get the SLK32 AMG's 349 hp engine into this car, like the C&D editors said.
Overall, the SRT-6's and its lower variants have love-it-or-hate-it styling. I can't really say much about the rear of this car. Maybe they'll redesign it for future models, I hope. Anyway, this car is going to be a cult classic. Kudos to Chrysler for getting in bed with DB, and catching up with the rest of the world.

Honestly, this car is irrelevant.
Seriously, how many of you were really begging for an American sports car that costs just as much as a Corvette or M3 but is slower than either of those?
If the regular Crossfire was ~$25k and the SRT-6 was ~$35k it might actually be a compelling car. And they could do it too, since they're using the 10-year-old SLK platform (which is already paid off), NOT the new one. But it seems like the marketing geniuses at Chrysler are so concerned with making Chrysler an "upscale" brand that they forgot that they need to actually sell cars at some point.
