Hi all,

My 04 AT engine just died at 172,000km's, the estimated cost to rebuild the engine so far qouted is close to $8000(Mazda dealer price).

I was wondering how much roughly is my car worth if i sold it without a engine, and the next owner can rebuild or put in his/her own engine? The interior and exterior is still flawless and looks brand new.

Anyone able recommended me some mechanics that specialise in rebuilding rotary engines?
Is it even worth rebuilding as im eager to get rid of the car, is it possible to just sell it as it is?

Any oppinions?

Approach your local rotary expert and get a quote from them. There are a few good garages such as RRRX8 specialities and other in he Melbourne area.$8k seems a bit steep.
