so my transmission grinds when shifting from 6 to 5(sometimes) and 3 to 2(most of the time) and does not go into 1st(always) unless im almost stopped.
heading to the dealer tomorrow.i am hoping they will fix this for me under warranty.60k right?
anything that i should be aware of.
or anything i can say or do so they wont give me the run around. appointment already scheduled.
i know should of gone sooner but damm never thought about it.

 

The not being able to go into first unless almost stopped is normal, there really is not much of a reason to downshift to first at all unless your stopped or almost stopped.

When you go in there I think the main thing to do is pretend like you drive it very easily and you do not race/redline/do anything they want to pretend is bad for your car.

What year is your car?

 

change fluid for grinding and 1st gear is normal or you can double clutch.

 

If the problems persist after a fluid change (with a good fluid) start looking for a new transmission.

 

50kmi was the warranty I had...
Is there a 60k warranty offered?

 

Are you rev matching when downshifting or do you just expect the syncros to do all the work?

 

at the dealer now. Service rep said its 50 k he double checked its extended to 60k.
And i heel toe to match.
I baby it when drive.
