I am a new owner of a 2004 8 (A/T Paddles) and new to this forum and I absolutely love my car (primarily because my wife bought it for me); however, I have been having issues with the car starting AFTER it has been warmed up. If it is cold, it starts right up with no issues whatsoever, but if I take out on I-95 and it has been running awhile, it takes me forever to get the engine to turnover. Any assistance for this newbie would be greatly appreciated.

 

search for "hot start" None of the stuff you will read is good.

 

Most likely due to low compression. As mentioned above run a search on warm or hot start issues.

 

Damn, you were right, none of it was good. We just bought this car last week!!!

 

Before you take it out and shoot it, look through some of the stuff in my signature block. Check on when it was tuned, age of the coils, clean stuff. For an 04, the $100 is really applicable, I got the data from my first year with my 04.
