Unhappy Help me please! engine lack of power!

Hi guys,

My friend has 40th anniversary RX-8 6AT(only 8,000 miles) and it has a strange problem.

1st gear - 6,000RPM limit,
2nd gear - 4,250RPM limit and
3rd gear - 4,000RPM limit when I pushed an acceleration-pedal(full throttle).

It looks instability acceleration 2,000 to 3,000. (gear position was "N")

- cleaned up SSV
- replacement MAF sensor, spark plugs, ignition coils, ignition cables, throttle body
- install new PCM
- Sometimes turn on engine-check-light : missfire(I could see it, AF ratio indicated 10:1 when I met limit of rpm)
- I didn't find any problems on IDS

I don't feel any power from this car. Yeah, engine lack of power.
I surmised it had a transmission trouble. Perhaps I don't think that's it. Because, it instability accelerated when I pushed pedal on "N".

Unfortunately, my country doesn't have MAZDA service center.

Someone should give me advice, thanks!

its an rx8 duh lol but yeah when the engine is cold the car will not let you rev passed 6k rpm, does it still happen once the engine is warm.. something could be restricting your air flow ? check your MAF ,doe sit idle rough ? if so some injector cleaner could be useful, aswell as massive carbon build up can be your issue. but chances are you are missfiring and your plugs or coild could be shot.

Speed_8, thank you for your kindly reply.
I'm very sorry about I left out something important to say. This rx-8 doesn't have any after market parts. And, I tested this car after enough warming up.

RX8Soldier, Thank you!
I'll replace a catalytic converter today night. Thanks!

Speed_8,
Mazda don't advance into my country. So we can't exercise our rights.
Thank you very much for your kind consideration.

Thank you DocBeech,
I guess, you does not have automatic-transmission RX-8. As far as I know, MT's cold rev-limit is different from AT. The RX-8 of a question is AT.
