Ok. My car has been using WAY TO MUCH coolant. It smokes terrible but still drivable. I've done some research and found that it could be a blown coolant seal. But I have taken it to a repair shop (not Mazda) and they told me that I would have to buy ANOTHER engine (I've already bought one in the past). What do you think? Also I have this weird swooshing of water sound in my dashboard, WHAT IN THE HECK IS THAT? Should I just go back to the repair shop and let them put me another engine in for $4000 or do you think I could just go and get the coolant seal fixed?

 

Where do u live? I don't think a good rebuild engine cost 4.grand. I would say 3 grand tops with shipping

It really depends. Coolant seal is cheap but labor is not. And it really depends on what is still working in ur engine you might have more problem than that.
