Headlight Condensation Problem please help

Hi guys,

I got a 2005 rx8, which I am deeply in love with.. And my front and rear headlights have alot of condensation and a build up of green mould on the edges..

Is their any chance Mazda will replace this under any type of warranty even thought the car is 5 years old?

Thanks everyone

Nope................do some searches, the tail light is a common problem. You can get a new gasket.
Headlights...............not so common, would have to search to find answers.

The green mould is on the outside of the light likely...take them out and clean them...

The fronts could have cracks...otherwise it is unlikely that they are leaking..unless someone replaced the bulbs and didn't re-install the seals properly

The rears are known to leak...there are new seals that will work..or you can remove them..clean them out...and then use some rtv to seal them back onto the car

If the fronts are damaged...drive behind a gravel truck ..or buy some good used ones from a wrecker or online...they are very expensive new

Thanks for all the replies guys,

Its amazing how everyone here is so much more helpful then Mazda themselves..

I'm going to have to try taking them out and re sealing them myself then.. anyone recommend a good sealant?
