So many factors come into to play. I pay about $100.00 a month but I am 35 and have not had an accident in years but i have gotten a couple of tickets here and there.

How old are you? Where do you live? Etc.

I'm 25 and had several big claims on my record one at fault. I'm paying $260 something a month.

I normally have State Farm, and the cost to insure my R3 was going to be enormous (around $300 or so) due to how State Farm classifies the vehicle. At the suggestion of my own State Farm agent, I switched to one of their underwriters called Bristol West. Not sure if they are available in your area, but I only pay $134 a month now on my vehicle. Same coverage, but the same cost as when I owned my MX-5. Just something to do with how they rate the vehicle. *shrug*

I pay under that for my 8 and 2 suvs. As others have mentioned many factors come into play such as your age and place of residence. All I can say is shop around.

Also, statefarm offers a bunch of discounts, ie. student discounts, education discounts (discount because I have my masters), discounts if you get renters insurance (my gf and I get renters) from them etc.

Your "full coverage" is different though. That $125/mth is only paying for coverage for damage to your vehicle. Damage to people are paid by the govt (though through your tax dollars) :-P

State Farms w/ full coverage @ $84/mo. Texas and I'm 31 yrs. old. In addition to my car I have two other cars and a home owners ins. under this policy.

I haggled with them when I got my car and ended up with this rate. Defensive driving, even if you use it for a ticket, can be applied to your premium. As Paimon said I also pull the education discount from my masters.

History: I killed one car back in 2001. . . Solo car situation.

The multi-line discounts make a BIG difference with State Farm. Our homeowners, WRX, 350Z, Honda VFR700F, Honda HawkGT, and RX-8 (R3) are all on the same account, we pay less a month (total) than most of the numbers people have quoted above. The most expensive item on insurance is the WRX, as it's the oldest (and therefore the most kids driving it). But we're married and 30-35. The homeowners and being married made a HUGE difference.

Being married helps a ton. I was surprised how much my rates dropped for that, vs. just turning 25 (not that much of a change).

DAMN! lol I'm 21 and pay $247. I would love to get it down to $150...I have one fender bender on my record (4 years ago) with no speeding tickets, just some seatbelts...I feel i should be paying less.

32, clean record (at least the last 3 years, totaled a bimmer in my 20s) and pay $99/m full coverage for my 2010 R3 through Geico. I also have my Ducati and renters through them, so i get the line discounts.

30 years old. 2005 RX8 in Florida. $111/month with Esurance for ultra extended full coverage. According to my driving record on their website, just one speeding ticket (>15mph over) on my record. Guess the other tickets/accidents have fallen off by now.

BTW Esurance sucks a d!ck.

WTF??? State Farms sucks! I've tried Nationwide, State Farms, Mutual Liberty, and Progressive, and out of all of them, *THE* best deal was with Ameriprise through Costco! I'm paying roughly $330/6 months! That is $55/month @FULL coverage, with $250 deductible!! Granted, I have a squeaky clean driving record *knocks on wood* But, give them a call and a free quote. They might be able to save you some $$

Theres a lot that goes into your insurance cost. Its where you live, where you work(basically where the car is at a good portion of the time), how many miles you drive a year, accidents, age, tickets, other insurance through them, how much your deductible is, how much your insured for per accident/medical case, etc.

I have insurance with state farm and am 25, never had an accident and only had one ticket of 75 in a 65 maybe 4 years ago. I set my deductible high with them, got their life insurance, and for full coverage and 50k life insurance I am paying about $130 a month. The life insurance actually brought down my rate with them, it was much cheaper with it than without it.
