Exclamation Yet another AUX question (but I searched first!)

I am going to (potentially) be the proud new owner of an '09 RX8 in the next few days. My deal-breaker, however, is an aux in. And no, not iPod integration, AUX. I use my Driod X, for music, NOT an iPod. "iPod" integration with your fancy docks doesn't do me any good. If I can't do it for under 250$, I will just not buy the car.
So I searched and I found that this is the best DIY out there.

But, I don't want to have to use a "silent" CD and with no man to help me, I don't want to solder on my own (I'm a picky lil bitch ain't I?). So some more searching led me to The Grom AUX-In piece. Woot right!

But some questions:
  1. The 2009 RX8 isn't listed on the compatibility guide. Eek!
  2. The Grom instalation guide says it just plugs into the back of the CD player (Monitor to a Vid Card on the back of a tower) and then you use CD 01 Track 01. Is there any way for me to make it work by pressing the XM/Sat button? I have no desire to ever have satellite radio.

Any help would be much appreciated. I am looking forward to joining the club (if this AUX works out)

Did you look in the center console, after you slide it back flip it up. theres a AUX port right there on my 2009. I have the sport model or whatever the lowest is so I imagine they must all have them.

Thats what your looking for right? Unless I am misunderstanding you.

OMG! I did not! I figured it would be on the front! when I go to look at it tomorrow I will check there. I am buying it from a Saab dealer, so they don't know jack from jill about the car, but this board has been very helpful in learning about its pros (handles well, a blast to drive) and cons (Gargles oil and gas like pam anderson)

Something like this thead here >> https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-interior-audio-electronics-24/speaker-sizes-harnesses-kits-etc-audio-install-reference-74664/ but for series II?
