Stealth cord hookup to Homelink.

Just hooked up my new Escort Radar detector 9500 ix using a 12 inch Stealth Cord (www.stealthcord.com). There seems to be some unanswered issues with previous postings regarding the wiring diagram for the Homelink mirror. I'll try to upload a diagram, but basically the red (power) lead on the steathcord plugs into the pure black wire mirror plug (this has power when the car is on). The Stealthcord ground (black lead) plugs into the Black with yellow stripe wire (ground) on homelink mirror plug. It's a clean, slick setup. This wiring is for 2005, RX-8, not sure if it's the same for later models.

Woot, perfect timing. I am putting an autodimming/homelink mirror from an 8 into my Miata today, and was about to go hunting for the wiring info. (only wiring in the power, not the home-link, nothing to use it with)

i installed my 9500ix...i just tapped into the wires themselves...iirc it was black...i tapped into 1 and then grounded the other wire by loosening one of the bolts and sticking the wire under it and tightening it...everything has worked great and this radar kicks ***!
