MAX hydro hand brake SLC**

PBM's newest Super Light and Compact version of our famous hydrobrake!

On the hydro brake you can either get a big pipe with a hand grip or a spare tension rod to bail your *** out from future crashes. These CNC anodized aluminum parts feel precise, and makes you feel at one with your machine.
The reason the hydro brake helps your drift is the same as the reason why you need a bucket seat, to keep you in place while you are drifting so that you can more precisely control your machine. Even if you have a bucket you really have to man handle the stock side brake to get the rear to lock up, and your body twists disturbing your driving position. The angle and height adjustable handle placed right inbetween the steering wheel and the shift lever means that weather you were shifting or steering your hand does not have far to go to perform a quick hand brake connection,

You could bolt it in but weld on install is recommended.

Overall this is way beefier than those other rickety hand brakes available on the market, there is delrin bushings in all of the joints, and everything is adjustable from the joint tension to the stop to the angle of the handle. No wiggling around.

After adding to cart you have the option of adding AN stainless steel braided lines and fittings for $120 or not. You can build much cheaper hard lines if you have the skill and patience.

Does this still sit on the right side of the shifter like the stock hand brake? If not, do they offer an adaptor to change it to the left side?

 

you can mount the hydro where ever.. im mounting mine on the driver side

 

hmm i was thinking of getting one, PBM is in my area, i think one of the members in sdclubracing has one of these, i'll ask him if he likes it and if it makes a big difference. would go well with my bubble shift **** . oh i finally got rid of that rubbing issue i had in the rear angelo. solution = BFH.

was looking in to getting one of these and mounting it the spot where the ebrake would go on the drivers side. we'll see though.

Been thinking about these since they are starting up events locally. I'm gonna see how its like with out first to determine if I want one. First event is in January wish me luck!

 

^ I wouldn't recommend it until you have a lot of seat time and you are comfortable with your car.
you will learn faster that way and honestly I hardly ever use the E brake while drifting. mostly just clutch kickin!

 

Yea I'm probably going to hop in my buddy's s14 with a hydro and see what it feels like. I already participate in SCCA autocross so I have a pretty good feel of things. I've tried using the ebrake and that was very unsuccessful. Manji and clutch kit seems to work for me.
