first off: Welcome to the RX8club!
congrats on the purchase of your car, I'm sure you're having a blast with it.

as far as increasing torque:
Unfortunately there is not much you can do there on our torquless wonder for a car. The RX-8 does not make much torque and simple bolt on mods will not do much to increase that figure unless you are prepared to make major modifications such as nitrous, supercharger, or turbocharger.

If you bought the car hoping for lots of torque then unfortunately you bought the wrong car.
Despite having low torque, this car can be very quick if driven properly. Keep in mind that max power is made above 5,000 RPM so that's where you'll need to be to get the most out of our engine.

#1 ditch that K&N intake. It draws in hot air from the engine compartment. get either the AEM/MS intake or the RB intake...

+100 on the K&N. Short ram anything really doesn't do much for our cars. CAI are best for the engine and performance.

With a rotary, you really dont need to worry too much about torque. I dont know if Cobb Accessport has an automatic model but it is a great performance mod. By the way, dont talk about street racing or else you will get alot of ****, its not accepted unless its legal.

legal street racing... woot time for the GT series :P.

Save up and buy a pettit racing super charger, or a 20B. Otherwise be happy with what you have, and save your money. +1 on the COBB AP though.

Do alot of you honestly drive with catless midpipes????I had a high flow SR catalytic converter and was embarrassed from the ridiculous loudness.
