Some of the original Brotherhood of the Dragon (BOTD) members are working to organize an October trip to the Tail of the Dragon. We would stay at the Fontana Village (same as last year) and the dates are the 8th - 10th.

The Hemlocks are the remodeled units with 1 queen and 2 twin beds. Divide this one out among 3 parties and it's a great buy! Units would be on Welch Rd; #545, 546, 547, 548. (adjustment made to this info: it is a 2BR, not 3)

The Laurels are the units most of us stayed in last year. Two bedrooms, one queen and 2 twins. They are located around the Trout Pond. Unit #745, 747, 749, 751, 753, 755.

The Willows are on Cheoah Way. They are a one bedroom unit with a queen bed. Unit #909, 912, 916, 920.

The Lodge rooms are like a typical hotel room and are located in the main lodge.

Be glad to have you there Daffyduc. Most of us will arrive Friday afternoon and plan to take a drive Friday evening. Saturday would be the larger ride of the weekend including the Cherohala Parkway, lunch and the Dragon. When should we look for you? And what car?

 

Longest and best drive of the weekend is planning to head out of Fontana Village around 10:00 am Saturday. 4 or 5 hours of driving, eating and a bunch of picture taking!

Planning to hit the coordination efforts much harder for next years event. We want to get back to the type crowds we had in '08. Pencil in September 2011 if you want to take a fall trip through the Tail of the Dragon.
