have you played with the gain adjustment? most amps come set to the minimum gain at 5-6 volts, if your loc is only putting out 2 it wont give any sound, also did you tap in to the speaker wires at the speaker, or the line input to the bose amp?
this is the thread i found most useful when hooking mine up https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...129#post252129

oh an edit, make sure you have the positive and negative inputs on the loc right, if you have the right chan positive in the neg spot and the left chan positive in the positive spot it will cancel out and you will get no sound, try switching one side and see if you get sound

the main bose amp is the silver box between the rear speakers...the front speakers dont matter if youre connecting an loc as you are tapping into the rears

well as per this thread https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...129#post252129
and my experience with my system i would say yes that would be best, you get a better signal input to the amp from the pre amp lines
