door speakers?

what would the options be for replacing the stock 9" speaker in the bose system? i read the https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-interior-audio-electronics-24/speaker-sizes-harnesses-kits-etc-audio-install-reference-74664/ stickie and it says they are .5 ohm which is obviously not an aftermarket option, at least that ive found, so what would the best way to replace these be? theres a place on ebay that stills brackets to go from the 9 to a 6.5 speaker, crutchfield told me the best option would be infinity kappa 6.5s because they are 2ohm and thats close enough that it wouldnt effect anything. is this true or would it fry the amps from the extra resistance?

are they blown? or are you looking for some better sound?

if you are after better sound get the speaker adaptors, 2 channel amp, line out convertor, and a set of 6.5" component speakers...The LOC can be tapped into the output of the bose amp in the trunk to run the replacements. or get a 4 channel amp and replace the rear 6x9s also...

pretty sure its the door amp is toast, i read another thread about bose amps going out and i have the same problem that if you hit the door right it comes back on, im replacing the headunit soon with one that has rca outs for front rear and sub channels, would it just be best to get a 4 chan amp and new 6x9s rear and 6.5s for front and ditch the whole bose system? the center chan in the dash means nothing to me it hasnt worked since i got the car and i doubt it adds much to the system

I think you had a wtb thread for a door amp.

There is no such thing as a door amp. There's a device on there that seperates the lows and highs to go to the door speaker and the tweeter.

I have a pair for sale, if you like.

I was the one who had the WTB in the for sale section for the AMPs and i have a guy who said he had them but so far not sure what is going on there. So i may be looking for another person to get them from.
