Is there any way to stop receiving emails every time i post in a thread that has been updated? My inbox is flooded with them and its not necessary because im on these forums everyday so i see them anyway.

 

Yes, there is. Go to your User CP, then on the left side you'll see a list, search for the one that is titled Settings and Options and click on the Edit Options link. Then you'll see a drop down menu (Default Thread Subscription Mode) where you can change it to No email notification.
