Alright well I'm looking to buy an '04 RX8, and I noticed that some of the GTs have this... thing on it. It looks cool.

I'm not quite sure what it is, but I've seen that some people on this forum have cars with it.

Obviously I'm about the opposite of a car expert and can't explain what I'm talking about, so here's a pic of it on one of the cars I'm looking to buy.



Can someone please verify what this is, and do you get it stock or aftermarket? Thanks!

 

They are called strakes.

Couple of vendors on this site sell them as well as others.

lies. they were a factory accessory.

you can get aftermarket ones as well

if you going to add side strakes then you're better off getting the mazda ones instead of the aftermarket options.
