Key stuck in ignition

Key stuck in ignition

Hey just got a key cut and programmed drove the car home and now it's stuck. It won't return to the lock position. Tried moving the steering wheel back and forth' no dice. My car is stickshift btw

Have you tried pushing in (towards the steering column) yet and twisting back to lock?

Yeah still won't return to lock

finally got the key out w/ arm strength. after carefully analyzing the new key and the old key i figured out the new key is longer than the older ones which may be causing this.
