When we got my daughters car (04' RX8) we only got one key and one remote. Now after reading all the posts, can I get an extra key/remote without having to go back to MAZDA Dlr. Everything I read say I have to have 2 working keys before I can program in an extra. Is that for real or can I do it with just one key? I see the key with the chip for less than $20 bucks and a remote I can pick up of alot of different web sites. Have any of the guys/gals out there done this? Any information would be helpful!

yeah need to have the dealer do it. you can't program it without the 2nd one. but by the key/fob where you saw it because the dealer will charge a ridiculous price for them.
