There's an app for the iphone/touch that will enable one to view forums through the app. It's called tapatalk. I guess it's free for a forum to be a part of this, the administrator needs to instal some sort of server extension.... maybe it's worth looking into. I would enjoy easily surfing rx8club from my phone...
whats the issue with regular browsing? im reading the forum and posting this reply from the webkit browser on my onyx boox 60 ereader (available at www.dulinsbooks.com )which is an eink display. whats wrong with using safari?
I don't think it's a necessity. I'm just more of a tech dork and think the app is cool. Not gonna lie, i don't really have a legit reason for it. I've played with the Read Only version with a couple of other sites and it is pretty slick.

yeah, it basically breaks the site down so it's viewed like an explorer/finder window, in list view, so you just see top level instead of everything It sizes and simplifies the text to make it easier to read. Definitely not a deal breaker if you choose not to use it. I still browse the forum in mobile safari all the time. On the phone end, it supports the iPhone, Android, Nokia devices, and Blackberry. I'm a tech geek like I said. Thanks for looking into it. Screen shots probably tell a better story.

I remember evom used to be native for mobile browsers much like this 'tapatalk' Users voted to get rid of it but I always thought it was great, really helps not having to zoom in on every little detail!
I would appreciate being able to use it, just as the previous posters stated

All these table layouts and JavaScript and CSS files are HUGE when you consider mobile broadband datarates. It takes forever to load it up. Tapatalk adds either an XML or JSON interface (I'd have to look it up) that only transfers relevant info and makes loading times (and bandwidth) drop like a fly.
Do it!
