So I just found out a get a new engine. I have an 04 with 142000km's on it. Funny, I did everything needed to maintain it, including oil changes every 2 months. The car was having the hard starting problem when hot or cold. They changed all the ignition stuff, plugs, coils and wires, even the battery and it still had the same issue. The engine is on back order, have to wait two weeks then 3 days to install. They will not be charging me again for plugs, wires, or coils as they are brand new anyway.

The tech recommended I replace the intake manifold and the clutch as I will not be charged any labor. I will most likely sell the car next year, so I'm on the fence with the repairs. Has anybody with a new engine get this stuff done as well? Does anyone think it's worth it? Will a intake manifold make a big impact on the new engine running right or not? Any and all feedback is appreicated.
