So, I bought 4 MSD Multi Spark Ignition Coils around may of 2009. About a month ago, My car started running Really bad. It's turbo'd and I figured it was a boost leak or worse, Came to the point that I couldn't even start the car without holding the key for 10 seconds to get the motor up to speed.. bah, I thought I blew my motor or shot out my turbo, because I need to upgrade my greddy, thank god I didn't.
Come to find out 2 of my coils less than a year old stopped producing spark. Gah.. So much for top of the line ignition, they lasted less than my originals.. problem is, now I don't even have a reciept to bring them back under warranty. I bought them from fluid motorsports, and have a online reciept from them. but it's saturday, so I'll have to wait until monday to see if I can get a return.

and that's my little story in a nutshell.
Motor = Good

Hey a blown ignition coil or two is way better than a blown engine. You should just look into buying the OEM coil's from now on.. or upgrade the ignition such as the BHR kit.

"Blown" coils can sometimes cause engine damage on a rotary, especially when F/I. Be careful.

OK! So, I got my coils replaced under warranty, reinstalled them, car started right up. Now I seem to have a problem. Mind you the car has been sitting for a few months, I also replaced the fuel to remove that out of the equasion.

Car pulls really good before it hits mid boost, around 5-6 psi to 10 psi, I have a vacuum of around 16-17 which is where it was before. So I don't think I have a bad engine.
Car seems to lag a little when I give it gas, almost feels like it's spooling up the turbo and then it moves. It's always been instant.
when I give it WOT, it seems to bog, especially around the 6-7k range. like it hits a flat space.
almost seems to be running rich, smells like fuel, more so than originally.

Is my turbo toast? It's greddy standard with the kit. but I'm not blowing smoke or anything other then cold startup. where it's running rich.
It almost seems like I can hear it spooling more than before. and the car seems bogging/chokey.

I checked all the coils for spark, and they are all producing.

at one point before the coil change there was a good amount of oil in my intake, I'm worried that it worked it's way into my intercooler. I believe I got the oil blowback on a 3 degree day I started her up and there was a ton of oil smoke coming out of the tailpipe, after a while it stopped smoking. mabey my piping is clogged causing the lag?

I cleaned my pipes but haven't checked them all yet. I'm just hoping that my motor isn't blown or anything. It seems to pull strong when it's not in boost. I also checked all my clamps for cracks.

your bad coils toasted your CAT. smelling fuel and bogging and having to give more gas to get it going is a sign of a bad CAT. I would def check that out.
