Looks kinda like a mix of a Mazda3 and a 370Z. It looks a bit too round for my tastes, I think they should go for more of a FD look.

It looks like they put a roof on the rendering of the "New Miata" that was posted here about a week ago.
Yawn.....

And thats exactly why you should hate it,,,

I think it looks horrendous, there is very little on that harkens back to any sort of 7 lineage,,,

The one thing that was nice about the FD is that it stood alone there wasnt any other vehicle that resembled it...They should either leave it alone or bring out a style based on the old FD style.....That is disgusting....

Im not a fan, It should keep the triangle in the hood though, and of course just look smaller... The FD looks smaller than this thing...

Looks fatty. Not very handsome compared to the pic of the FD.

But I watched something somewhere about how they couldn't make the old FD body style if they wanted due to new safety clearance regulations. I'm not sure if that is true, but either way, they should come up with something better than this.

It looks huge, and not all that appealing at this point. If there wasn't an FD picture, it might have been better i guess. It just doesn't look as sleek and slim as all of the other rx cars have been.

Since the launch of Mazda in 1978, the first-generation RX-7 has been, RX-7 has been a representative of the Japanese sports car, lightweight and sensitive nature of this many people to give a high evaluation of models, however, since the third generation RX-7 (FD) in 2002, discontinued, Mazda intends to replace the RX-8's position over the last RX-7, but it is clear that the design of RX-8 maverick can not completely replace the RX-7's status; and Mazda in the discovered this fact after they started on the development of next-generation RX-7 plans.

NICE! the article's in Chinese... the author thinks that the rebirth of the 7 won't curb Mazda's plans to cease production of the 8. (wonder what pipe he is smoking.)

we will be lucky if the 7 makes it to the States anyways- with congress and their green car initiatives road blocking a lotta things.

i also wonder if the rotary market is large enough to accomodate 2 sport rotary coupe offerings from Mazda. i don't think the sales numbers support that speculation.

but, we shall see in two years. i hope we get something spectacular one way or another.

i thought it was supposed to look like that ^^^^

I'd buy it if it looked like what i posted a pic of. Idk about the one in red. it doesnt give me the same vibes that the otehr rotary cars do. It looks like the hybrid FWD coupes that came from japan like the new CRX and such.
