MD Dealer says engine... Im not convinced...

Ever since i bought my RX8 it has always been slow to start. It starts, it just cranks slow. Ive replaced the plugs, the coils, the wires and put a red top battery in. It has been to the dealer 7 times and been decarbed 2 times. The problem has never changed. Today when i called, they are immediatley talking about putting an engine in it. I asked about the upgraded starter and they said that the starter probably wouldnt make a dfference. its an 05 with 54k miles. What do you guys think? Im getting really upset because i hate leaving my car at the dealer.........

Well, let them put an new engine in first.

then go check your starter yourself to see if you got the upgraded starter or the older version. NOT all 05 has new starter, only late late 05+ get the new starter from factory. Im one of the example, I had the older version starter. it sucked. but got the upgraded starter just a few months after I got my car under warranty. not bad

oh to check the starter version, you need to look at the label.
