Front 02 sensor gone - runs the same?

Through a series of unfortunate accidents I would not like to go over, the front o2 sensor (wideband) which is supposed to be used for fuel trims, etc. Isn't there any more.

Though, after this happened, the car runs the same? I always had a deadening of power after about 6.5k RPM's, but the car behaves the same despite not even having an o2 sensor.

Does this mean the sensor was dead in the first place?

It will run......really rich (in open loop all of the time)....

At high loads it should run the same...so likely not your only problem

I had just bought the car so i'm working on it. Any instructions on replacing the front o2 sensor? I tried to follow the wire but always lost it.
