CA Noob question about audio

Hey guys,

I'm pretty noob when it comes to car audio stuff, so please be kind lol. I've had a new deck with the metra kit installed and now my volume is insanely high at low volumes. What can I do/buy to fix this?

Do you have the Bose system if so it is because of the amps. The only way to fix this is to cut some RCA cables and hook the speakers to the preamp outs on the head unit. This has been discussed before but I am to lazy to search it. If you search for it you should find it though.

Did you install the system yourself, or was it done professionally. If professional, take it back to them, let them know the problem, that you may have line level inputs on your speakers (assuming it's the Blose system) and that you'll need to connect to the RCA outputs on your new head unit. If you did it yourself, the answer is the same. Search through the "Metra kit is out" thread for lots of people who have done the same thing. If you're looking for better sound, also consider pulling all of the factory speakers and replace them with a new amp and speakers! That will definitely solve the problem.
