JGTC GTR killer confirmed

She's a maniac, maniac on the floor. And she's dancing like she never danced before

JGTC GTR killer confirmed (crosses fingers)

somebody mail nissan a box of tissues, they sure will be needing it

Spies appear to have captured a near-ready production model of the Lexus LF-A during track testing in Europe. Wearing German plates and painted in white, the car was caught almost completely undisguised on the 'Ring.

These pictures show a model even more road ready than the last time it was spied in June. It now appears to have finalized bodywork, including front and rear bumpers, a lip spoiler, and possibly a rear diffuser. About the only thing covered up is the lighting. Previous spy shots suggest the light clusters to be LED strips at the back, and triangular shaped in front.

The car is rumored to feature a 4.8-liter V10 engine that produces upwards of 600 horsepower. Weight will probably be kept low, with use of carbon fiber throughout the interior and parts of the exterior. The car appears to be using alloy wheels with five double-spokes.

First shown as a concept car at the NAIAS in 2005, the LF-A was also seen as a convertible in January '08. Word on the street is that the production coupe will be on display at the Tokyo Motor Show next month.

Although previously, pundits have said the car will be released as a 2011 model. However, with the Nissan GT-R gaining such tremendous popularity, but Honda pulling the plug on the NSX, Toyota could capture both imagination and market share with a 2010 release for the Lexus LF-A.

So much more sexier than the GTR while still maintaining a Japanese look.

i think 100k is an underestimate watch it be the 200+k mark and at that point i wouldnt buy one ... id get a zr1 tune it upgrade it a little and pocket the change and probably still beat it on a track and a straight line thats just my opinion the gtr is such a great car because of the pricetag

I might be stating the obvious or maybe this was already talked about but could that be the new supra platform since toyota and lexus are related.

Im glad Mr. Toyoda took control. He seems to be putting excitement back into the formula at Toyota and less emphasis on lame, boring hybrids. Hopefully the LF-A is being given the green light now. Ill bet that v-10 sounds hawt. I really want to see the Toyobaru finally show up too

as for mike, yah honda must be shooting them selves in the foot atm. i feel that toyota will be using alot of things from this car for their toyota badge sports car.

btw 24hour nurbering versin of the LFA didnt do so well. both cars where DND . hopefully they work out the kinks.

The only thing I don't get is the V10. Thats gotta add some weight and can't be that efficient, especially by Toyota standards. The could have done better with a Twinned V6 yes? Nonetheless, the car is dead sexy. Its like Toyota said: "We'll let Nissan have their fun with Porsche... were going for Ferrari". LOL.
Dead Sexy

Nissan's answer to this may be the Infiniti Essence.

I dont think so

"With a gasoline and electric combined output of 592 horsepower, the Essence dwarfs even the Nissan GT-R in raw power. This is no track day car though, at a body length of 4720 mm the Essence is as long as a Rolls Royce and likely nearly as heavy." - Rsportscars.com

Didn't they say that the Essence was strictly a concept car with absolutely no plan of turning it into a production model?

but i'd love to see the essence on the road :D *sighs* the price-tag on it would probably kill it though

Very nice car, But you could buy a ZR1, and a GTR, and still have some change left over before you bought this

I dont care for it. Side profile of the rear looks like a Celica GTR, and the front looks like an integra to me.

Its a nice looking car, but for 200k ,I would look elsewhere.

I would pay 70k tops for it. You would think Toyota would have learn by now that pricing is what killed the Supra. I know there trying to push there Lexus market upscale to compete with Mercedes and like, but people at the end of the day will see this as another tecno smart Japansese car with a expensive price tag on it.

What kills me is that half the people in this country don't even know there is no such thing as Lexus, Infiniti or Acura in Japan or Europe, there only over priced Toyotas, Nissans and Hondas. One dude at my job got so uptight because I told him his Lexus is just another Toyota, he thought he was driving a Luxury Lexus IS350 only to find out by looking on the internet he was driving a upscale Toyota Altezza , needless to say he was very butt sore after his findings! LOL!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

If white is not your color, how about Black?
