That's because the radiators are mounted on the rear corners. I like that idea, to improve weight distribution, but I thought they'd close up the front end more to improve aero, perhaps the engine bay gets a little hot with that screaming V10 pushing out lots of ponies.

I was expecting to see some a more interesting bumper with openings for front brake ducts only.

but wait, I thought this was the GTR killer:
https://www.rx8club.com/general-automotive-49/550-chevy-matiz-new-gtr-vette-killer-165679/

Thank God at least one more company is still building exciting cars, all the rest of them (aside from GM and Ford? really? wtf?) seem to be to scared to.

well, i guess Nissan counts too. Mazda has disappointed me a bit, hopefully they can redeem themselves soon.

When the first concept came out a couple years ago being toughted as the next coming of the Supra I wasnt too excited and it was downright ugly, but I love the production version of this totally, I will probably not be able to afford it but Mazda has alot to step up to with this Toyota is back,,, Lets hope they refocus and maybe, maybe bring back my all time favorite car the MR2,,,,
I love every detail about this car,,,

Rotr8, you're trying to kill me with images here!

Mazda already has a GT-R/LF-A/whatever the hell else killer. They just have make a streetable version and produce it.

Im well aware of the Furai and all its specs, it will be atremendous undertaking to bring anything close to the proprtions of the Furai to production, It will have to go on a wieght gaining program induced to actually comfortably fit two passengers, and even the logistics of creating something that small and hard to get out of will kill its race bred silhouette,,,,

I love the car as well, some supra DNA in the front end, at least they tried to put some there.

I have said it before, i absolutely love the engineering on this car. It took car makers so long to figure out they could put radiators at the back for a front engine car.

The wheels are a bit too big IMO, 18s or 19s would be just fine. And the rear end could look better with some updates hopefully, maybe a RX-7 style rear lights could work.

As for the power out of the 4.8L V10. It is not the most impressive, but that is still supercar territory.

Also for the Furai, it is a based on a Le Mans Prototype built by Courage. There is no way to convert it to a street car, period.

Well, with the Tokyo motorshow finally going on, we've got the first real promotional video(s) showing up...

9krpm red line? Yes please But... for $200k... I'd get a v10 R8 and pocket the $50k for tires and brake pads

yeah I read that on Autoblog this morning too,,,, RETARDED... I would have guessed that it would have been just north of $100K just because its a Lexus but still in the same market as the GTR,,, But $375K hahhahaah who the F*** wants a Toyota for that much, competely absurd...

EDIT- Ok after watching the video the sound alone commands $200K direct F1 lineage,,,

Lol, but still not up to the $375k mark eh? I would have loved to see it priced at 150k, to compete with the R8 V10.

Question, are amber corners mandatory in Japan? I see that the GT-Rs have clear corners, why the hell did they put ambers on this thing?
